More than a construction project
With the investments he has brought to life in Giresun, Dr. Öner Hekim, Chairman of the Board of Hekim Holding, has taken the first step not merely of a construction project, but of a multi-sector development vision spanning healthcare, manufacturing, tourism, commerce and social life. Following the completion of Hekimoğlu Konağı, Dr. Öner Hekim's first vision project, the five strategic investments announced to the public at the Hekim Tower groundbreaking ceremony are intended to make a long-term contribution to the economic and social development of Giresun and of the Eastern Black Sea region.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held in Giresun's Teyyaredüzü neighbourhood, was attended by public administrators, local government representatives, the business community, non-governmental organisations and guests from other provinces. At the ceremony on August 5, 2026, addresses were delivered by Deputy Governor of Giresun Şahin Bayhan, Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Hilmi Güler, Mayor of Giresun Fuat Köse, President of the Giresun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hasan Çakırmelikoğlu, and İbrahim Dere of İbrahim Dere Interior Architecture, Project Development and Construction Contracting.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Öner Hekim said the investments had been planned with an understanding of building not only the present, but the future.
“We were born and raised on this land; we produced and grew strong with the opportunities of this country. Now we are bringing the knowledge and production capacity we have gained back to our home town. For us, investment is not merely putting up buildings; it is producing, creating employment and raising people's quality of life. We believe that every investment we make in Giresun will also contribute to the economic future of the Eastern Black Sea region. We will continue to produce, to invest and to create value for our country with the same determination. Because this is our homeland; we will give back and we will invest…”
A development approach extending from Giresun to the Eastern Black Sea

These complementary investments are intended to increase economic activity in the manufacturing, healthcare, tourism and service sectors, create new areas of employment and strengthen Giresun's capacity to attract investment.
