What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website you visit places on your browser. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function, while others are used to measure your visit or to remember your preferences.

Cookies and Measurement Tools Used on Our Site

1) Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Subject to Consent

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and site usage. This tool writes the following cookies to your browser (source: Google's official “Cookie usage on websites” page):

• _ga — used to distinguish users. Duration: 2 years.
• _ga_ — used to remember session state. Duration: 2 years (default; customisable up to 25 months).

According to Google's own statement, for visitors outside the European Union (including Türkiye) GA4 does not associate the raw IP address with user identifiers and deletes it after use; the IP address is used only momentarily to determine country/city (excluding internal purposes such as spam detection).

These cookies are loaded only if you select “Accept” on the consent banner described in the “Your Preferences” section below. If you select “Decline” or make no choice at all, the GA4 script does not run and these cookies are not written.

2) Cloudflare Web Analytics — Cookie-Free, No Consent Required

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure the site's performance (such as page loading speed). According to Cloudflare's official documentation, this tool does not write cookies, does not collect personal data and processes data in anonymous/aggregate form. For this reason the tool falls OUTSIDE the scope of the consent banner below — it continues to work even if you decline.

3) Google Search Console (GSC) — Writes No Cookies, No Consent Required

Google Search Console is a webmaster tool that allows us to monitor the site's performance in Google search results. It collects its data NOT by writing cookies to your browser, but from Google's own search index; it does not run a separate visitor-tracking script on the site. For this reason it does not require consent.

4) Strictly Necessary / Technical Storage

This site does not use any strictly necessary cookies of its own — the Google Analytics cookies described in section 2 above are installed ONLY when you select “Accept”, and are not installed at all if you decline. The site’s main JavaScript file also does not use any browser storage (scanned on 17 September 2026, 0 matches).

The only exception is your consent preference itself: so that we do not have to ask for your Accept/Decline choice on every page, a single record named cerez_tercihi is written to your browser’s “localStorage” area. This record holds only the value “accepted” or “declined”; it contains no personal data, is not sent to our server and remains solely in your browser. It is technically necessary — without it we could not remember your preference. It is deleted when you clear your browser’s site data; you can also change your choice through the “Cookie Preferences” link below.

Your Preferences

On your first visit to the site you will see a cookie preference screen. GA4 cookies are NOT written unless you select “Accept”. You may change your preference at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences link — this link is also located at the bottom of the page (in the footer).

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. In that case, GA4 measurement will not work, while the rest of the site will continue to function normally.
